According to reports, Leicester City are monitoring the fitness of star striker Jamie Vardy ahead of their game against Liverpool this weekend.
The 30-year-old Vardy picked up groin injury during his teams draw with Huddersfield last weekend and he missed his team’s Carabao Cup win over the Reds on Tuesday.
Since the injury at John Smith’s Stadium, Vardy has been unable to train and has been receiving treatment at Belvoir Drive.
The absence of Vardy will be a blow to the Foxes considering that he is on form and netted four times during his first five games.
Liverpool will be looking to bounce back during the weekend after their run of poor form and they will also be intent on regaining their morale after losing to the Foxes in the Carabao Cup this week.
Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare will be hoping that Vardy can shake off his injury and play this weekend.
