West Ham boss explains what he expects from Arnautovic

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has said that he expects more from Marko Arnautovic after the striker delivered a fantastic performance during the Hammers’ 3-0 victory over Bolton in the Carabao Cup.

Arnautovic, who joined the East London club from Stoke this summer, set up goals for Angelo Ogbonna and Diafra Sakho before Arthur Masuaku grabbed a third goal during stoppage time.

Arnautovic started life off at the Hammers on a bad note after being sent off in only his second game against Southampton.

Bilic however insisted that the player is now on the road to redemption and that he must build upon his good form.

The Croatian boss said, “I could have asked for more. I want him to do more. He’s got that quality and that something extra.

“I like him as a player but sometimes he gets happy with the few things that he does when I want him to push the borders.

“I know what he’s capable of and I want him to keep molesting the opposition and never be happy in a positive way. But of course he did the job here.”
