Liverpool star Sadio Mane has revealed to ESPN that he would love to speak to Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson and apologize about the incident that earned him a red card two weeks ago.
Ederson’s face met the full force for Mane’s boot while the duo were contesting for the ball and following the incident; a lengthy stoppage occurred as the Brazilian Ederson suffered facial injuries and had to be replaced by Claudio Bravo.
Fortunately, there was no serious damage to Ederson as he returned to action just four days later when City played against Feyenoord in a Champions League clash.
Mane has now revealed that he has yet to apologize to Ederson though he did add that he would love to if given the opportunity.
The Senegal international said, “No, but I posted something on Facebook. We don’t know each other, but I would love to have his number and send him a proper message. I think it is OK now, though.”
