Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been criticized by pundit Alan McInally after making his full debut for the Reds against Leicester on Tuesday night.
It was not a happy full debut for former Arsenal star as the Merseyside club ended up losing 2-0 to the Foxes through goals from Shinji Okazaki and Islam Slimani.
Mclnally blasted the player for his showing and said, “He has undoubted, undoubted talent. But, I’m not saying he seems to keep a little bit too himself, but there’s certainly times in games where he could be better.
“Defensively Leicester were okay but I don’t remember him skinning someone or cutting inside and having a good shot.”
After refusing to sign a contract extension with former club Arsenal, the England international ended up moving to Liverpool on transfer deadline day for a fee of £35 million.
He was reportedly unhappy with the fact that Arsene Wenger was not playing him in his preferred central midfield role and this was ultimately led to him opting to leave the Gunners.
