Aston Villa have suffered a blow as Scott Hogan could be set to miss Saturday’s match against Nottingham Forest due to injury.
Hogan started for the Villains during their Carabao Cup fixture against Middlesbrough on Tuesday and ended up with an injury during the game.
Hogan could be one of three members of the Villa to miss the game with the others being Mile Jedinak and Henri Lansbury.
Though Villa lost 2-0 to Boro, they will be looking to gain confidence in the Championship and follow up on their 3-0 away victory over Barnsley last weekend when they face off against Forest.
After being touted as one of the pre-season favorites to lift the Championship title this term, Villa have made a disappointing start to the new season having taken just ten points from their opening eight games.
There are however still many games left to play and a series of wins could bring their season back on track.
