Newcastle reportedly could lose attacker, with 4 English clubs keen

As per the Chronicle, Newcastle risk losing teenage sensation Sean Longstaff, with Bristol City, Barnsley, Bolton Wanderers, and Bournemouth all registering interest in the midfielder who is currently on loan with League One side Blackpool.

The English quartet all had representatives watch Longstaff, 19, during Blackpool’s 3-1 home win over Oxford United at the weekend.

Newcastle warded off interest from Bournemouth by handing their man a 2-year deal after the Cherries approached them last season.

Longstaff’s deal with Blackpool expires in January, but the Seasiders are hoping they can extend his stay till the end of the campaign, following a splendid start to life in the League One that has seen him score 4 goals and help teammates to 3 others in 6 league games.

The Magpies see the English youngster as a future talent, and have been impressed by his development so far.

However, he isn’t close to landing himself a spot in the senior team, and with the Championship clubs willing to offer him that, the temptation could see him desire a permanent exit by summer.
