Liverpool boss speaks about the positive following Leicester defeat

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he will use his side’s 2-0 Carabao Cup loss against Leicester on Tuesday as an opportunity to achieve development for his side.

Despite having dominated possession during the game, the Reds lost the game and continued their run of poor form following their 5-0 defeat to Manchester City two weeks ago, which was followed up by their 1-1 draw against Burnley last weekend.

Despite the disappointing result, Klopp revealed that he will use the loss to achieve development and said, “I take this tonight, it’s development. But I have to ask for these things. I see it, everybody sees it, so we need to improve it.”

The Merseyside club’s weak defending has once again been exposed and they will need to rectify this soon or it will continue to cost them valuable points as well as trophies.

Considering the way the club are defending at the moment, it is very difficult to see them launching a challenge for any of the major trophies.
