Accomplished midfielder reportedly wants West Ham move

According to reports, Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere hopes that West Ham will attempt to sign him during the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old Wilshere who was touted as one of the future stars of English football just a few years ago has seen his career hampered by injuries.

He spent last season on loan with Bournemouth and that ended on a disappointing note after he fractured a bone in his leg.

Since returning to the Gunners, he has dropped down the pecking order at the club and made just one appearance which came during a 3-1 win over FC Koln in the Europa League last Thursday.

As the player is currently in the final year of his contract, January will present Arsene Wenger’s side with their final opportunity to cash in on a sale.

A move in January for Wilshere will also present him with his best opportunity to make the England squad for the 2018 World Cup.
