Millwall manager Neil Harris has claimed that his side were the better on the day after they claimed a surprise 1-0 victory over Leeds United on Saturday.
The Whites, who started the season in good form, were expected to win the game and continue their brilliant run of form this season.
However a goal from Aiden O’ Brien for Millwall in the 73rd minute saw Thomas Christiansen’s side consigned to their first Championship defeat of the season.
Following the game, Harris said that through Leeds are the best team in the division, he felt that his side were the better team on the day and deserved to take three points.
He said, “We knew it was going to be tough because Leeds have scored the most goals and conceded the least. It makes them the best team in the league. We [were] the better team on the pitch, with the ball and without the ball.”
The Yorkshire giants still do however remain on top of the Championship standings on goal difference.
