According to reports, Leeds are planning to sign Emiliano Buendia during the January transfer window.
The 20-year old is currently on the books of Cultural Leonesa, on loan from Spanish side Getafe.
Leeds and Cultural enjoy a good relationship and the two clubs recently reached an agreement over player for the development squad.
The Whites are said to have been impressed by Buendia’s performances for Cultural for whom he has recorded one goal and two assists so far this season.
Should the Yorkshire giants manage to secure the services of Buendia, he would be a great signing and could also strengthen the club’s attack while playing alongside the likes of Samu Saiz and Pablo Hernandez.
It will be interesting to see if Leeds can manage to negotiate a deal.
The player’s contract is set to expire in June so they will have to find a way to reach an agreement with Cultural to terminate his contract so that he can join the Championship club for the second half of the season.
