Former Newcastle and Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has predicted that Leeds will finish in the top three of the Championship this season.
The Whites narrowly missed out on a place in the promotion playoffs last season after finishing the Championship in seventh position and there is no doubt that they will be looking to win promotion to the Premier League this season following an absence which will extend to 14 years.
Thomas Christiansen’s men have so far made an excellent start to the season after winning five and drawing two of their opening seven games.
Their latest 2-0 victory over Birmingham City saw them climb to the top of the standings and on an encouraging note, six of their several games have been clean sheets.
Pardew feels that Christiansen is doing a great job as manager and has now also added that he expects the Whites to finish in the top three of the Championship this season.
He said, “So far, he’s done a marvellous job, and take the striker out of the situation, they look a little bit more fluid, they look like a team that is going to definitely be in the top three in my opinion.”
