Everton forward Nikola Vlasic has admitted that he was left with mixed emotions after making his competitive debut for the Toffees during their 3-0 defeat against Tottenham during the weekend.
The Merseyside club signed Vlasic after he impressed Ronald Koeman while playing in the Europa League tie between the two sides in August.
The youngster came off the bench during the defeat against Spurs to mark his debut for the English side. While he was glad to have got a taste of first team action, he has said that he was left with mixed emotions due to the manner in which his side lost.
The Croatian international was quoted by the Liverpool Echo as saying, “There’s a lot of emotions. It was a very special moment for me.
“I was happy when the crowd clapped me as I came on but on the other hand, I’m sad because we lost the game.”
