Celtic legend John Hartson has refused to rule out the possibility of his former side causing an upset against PSG during a Champions League encounter between the two sides on Tuesday.
PSG are one of the richest teams in World football and with attacking options such as Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Edinson Cavani to call upon, the Hoops will go into the game as overwhelming underdogs.
Hartson however believes that Brendan Rodgers side can potentially cause an upset against the French giants and said, “PSG will have over £400m worth of strikers at their disposal and what are Celtic worth defensively?
“It’s a no-brainer, we know where the result should go. PSG should win. But you cannot rule Celtic out.
“You would be foolish to write off Celtic at Celtic Park in any game. Some of the scalps that Celtic have taken at home; Barcelona twice, Manchester United. When that stadium is full, there is nowhere better in world football.”
Should they pull of a win, it will be considered a major upset. Despite Celtic having won the domestic treble unbeaten last season, many have criticized their overall quality due to their inability to do well in the Champions League over many years.
