Everton’s 38-goal star linked with a late loan exit

As per Turkish newspaper AMKSpor (via SportsWitness), Fenerbahçe are keen on landing Everton forward Kevin Mirallas on a season-long loan move before Turkey’s Friday transfer deadline.

It’s reported that the club have agreed personal terms with the Belgian winger should a deal go through, and that they have also tabled £915,000 before the Goodison Park outfit.

Fenerbahçe aren’t convinced Morocco international Nabil Dirar can offer the quality they badly need on the right wing, and Mirallas has emerged as a late prime target.

The former Olympiacos man appears to have fallen out with manager Ronald Koeman having been dropped from the squad that lost to Chelsea due to an “attitude”, and while that doesn’t necessarily mean his Everton career is anyway under threat, a move could well be on the cards.

Mirallas, who has scored 38 goals in 177 games for the Blues was disappointed with the club when a bid from Olympiacos was rejected last week.

The 29-year-old has been restricted to just 14 minutes of Premier League this term, and with his World Cup chances slim, he wouldn’t opt against an exit.

Everton, though, would most likely lean towards a permanent sale, and chances are that they demand a fee so high Fenerbahçe wouldn’t want to pay.

Negotiations could stretch on until Friday, and if Mirallas would end his 6-season Toffees career this summer remains to be seen.
