West Ham handed another injury blow ahead of Huddersfield clash

Andrew Ayew

According to reports, West Ham may have to do without the services of Andre Ayew for their next Premier League game against Huddersfield Town after he picked up an injury while on international duty.

The 27-year-old Ayew is reportedly suffering from muscle fatigue which he sustained while playing for Ghana during their World Cup qualifier.

This will be a major blow to the Hammers, who are currently in poor form having lost all three of their opening Premier League games.

They are also likely to be without the services of Manuel Lanzini and Andy Carroll for their upcoming game against Huddersfield and look short of options in attack.

Ayew was given a bad reception by Black Stars fans recently, with some even suggesting that he should consider retiring from international football.

Ghana currently sit in third place in Group E of African qualifying for the 2018 World Cup and should they fail to beat Congo in the return leg on Thursday, they could miss out on qualifying for the World Cup.
