Europe might have long closed its summer transfer market, but the Middle East is still very much in business, with Turkey not slamming shut their window until Friday.
As a result, out-of-favour Everton striker Oumar Niasse could still secure an exit this summer, with Turkish outlet Fanatik claiming Fenerbahce are still keen on the Senegalese striker.
As per the reports, a £1.8million loan move appears to be on the cards, and the Turkish giants have got till the end of the week’s working days to seal a move for their man.
Having spent last season with the Toffees’ under-23’s and later on loan at Hull City, the door to the first team remains closed to Niasse.
This is despite being assigned a Jersey number and included in Everton’s 25-man Premier League squad for the season.
The 27-year-old was reportedly close to leaving Goodison Park ahead of a £7million switch to Crystal Palace last week, only for the deal to collapse due to demands for a six-figure agents fee.
Since arriving from Lokomotiv Moscow in January 2016 for £13.5 million, Niasse could only make seven goalless senior Everton appearances, and as he won’t be adding to that tally, an exit remains best option for both parties.
