West Ham United to take drastic action following accusations

West Ham could be set to take legal action against Sporting Lisbon over the William Carvalho transfer saga.

Carvalho was one of the Hammers priority targets this summer; however he ended up not joining and the East London club’s interest in the player appears to have caused animosity between the two sides.

In the aftermath of the saga, the Sporting director of Lisbon has now claimed that the Hammers never made a bid. West Ham did not take lightly to this news and are now set to take legal action against the Portuguese giants.

The animosity that now exists between the two clubs may prevent the player from ending up joining the Hammers in January or next summer as Sporting may now prefer to do business with another club.

The son of West Ham owner, David Sullivan Jnr took to Twitter to reveal that the Hammers will be taking legal action.

Carvalho reportedly wanted to play in the Premiership and may feel that the time is right for a fresh challenge but it is unlikely to be at West Ham.
