Newcastle receive positive news about future of Rafael Benitez

According to reports, Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez will not leave the club unless sacked.

The Spanish manager has publically expressed his frustration at the club’s board for failing to provide him with sufficient funds to bolster the side during the summer.

This has led to speculation that he could resign from the club amid interest from West Ham, where Slaven Bilic is under pressure following the East London club’s poor start to the season.

The Mirror has claimed however that Benitez will not leave the club just as yet and is prepared to finish the season with the Magpies as he feels that he is indebted to the clubs fans.

The Tyneside club have not been convincing in the Premier League this season as they have won just one out of three League games thus far, losing the other two.

They may face a battle to avoid relegation this season and the experience of Benitez, who has previously managed Chelsea and Liverpool and is regarded as one of the world’s best managers, could be vital.
