Tim Krul has taken to social media platform Twitter to post a heartfelt message to fans of Newcastle United after completing a loan move to Premier League newcomers Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Dutch international Krul is currently the Magpies longest serving player having joined the club in 2005 as a 17-year-old from Ado Den Haag.
After making his debut in November 2006 during a Uefa Cup match against Italian club Palermo, Krul went on to make 185 appearances in all competitions for the Magpies.
He was however deemed surplus to requirements at the club this summer as Rob Elliot, Karl Darlow and Freddie Woodman all lie above him in the clubs pecking order.
Krul will need to use the time that he has at Brighton to try and move to the Magpies hierarchy that he deserves a new contract.
Getting first team football under Chris Hughton may prove to be difficult as he will have to compete against the Australian international Mat Ryan.
Following his departure, Krul took to Twitter to express his feelings towards Newcastle fans.
