West Ham United attacker has returned to the club

West Ham striker Diafra Sakho has returned to training after failing to secure a move away from the club this summer.

Sakho has fallen down the pecking order at the East London club this season following the arrivals of Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic.

He reportedly was in talks to join French Ligue 1 club Rennes though the Hammers did not give him permission to do so.

The 27-year-old was hampered by injury last season and went on to only make four appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal.

He will now need to work hard in training to try and convince Slaven Bilic that he is worthy of first team action. The Senegal international has held talks with Hammers co-owner David Sullivan and been urged to return to training.

The chances are high that he is now a frustrated player considering that he wished to leave the club for a fresh challenge.
