Five free agents your Premier League club could turn to

Now that the transfer deadline has mercifully shut in England, we can continue on with rumors and intrigue in new ways. One such way is the free agent market.

There are a bevy of footballers the world over looking for a side.  However, not so many are able to help a Premier League side.  Here are five players that could help a team out if they are signed –

Kolo Toure

The ex-Liverpool, Arsenal, and Celtic man is looking for a new club it seems at the moment. His experience at the back could be vital to any side that needs emergency depth, and he also is a great man for the dressing room at 36 years of age.

Benoit Tremoulinas

Former Sevilla man Tremoulinas is just 31 years of age, and has featured in European football for years. The left back endured a tough, injury-filled season last term but offers a lot of class and know-how, and could be just the pick up for some lucky team.

Giuseppe Rossi

Speaking of injuries, here’s another man that has almost always been down on his luck. Once a top scorer in Italy and an Italian international, the 30-year-old has struggled to stay on the pitch. However, when on it there is no doubting his ability to score goals. A team could just gamble and hope he gives them something to cling to.

Joe Ledley

The 30-year-old center midfielder last suited up for Crystal Palace but was not tied down to a contract before leaving in the summer. The Welsh international has a lot of experience in England, in both the Championship and Premier League, so he could be a decent option for a team in need of a cultured left foot.

Anders Lindegaard

The former Manchester United goalkeeper is available now on a free after leaving Preston North End in the summer. It’d be quite a gamble to take the 33-year-old on in hopes of him becoming the #1, but he could be a decent bet for those that are looking for depth in goal.
