West Ham reportedly keen on 21-goals-in-22-appearances striking sensation

As per French outlet Foot Mercato, West Ham have opened talks in a bid to lure 17-year-old striker Alexandre Mlinde of French non-league side AS Minguettes to the London Stadium.

Clearly, this is a move for the Hammers under-23, but Mlinde proceeding to the first team earlier than expected should he arrive can’t be ruled out.

The goalscoring exploits of the youngster after he scored 21 goals in 22 games last season – and 35 goals in the previous for Minguettes have attracted scouts all over Europe.

Lyon are definitely keeping tabs and would hope to make a move for Mlinde soon, with his club in the suburbs of their city.

West Ham are speaking to  the representatives of the teenage striking sensation, and despite not likely not seal a move for him this summer, the Hammers are working to put themselves in pole position to sign Mlinde should a deal become a realistic prospect going forward.

The promising goal machine has numerous trophies to his name at youth level, and would definitely take his time when considering signing his first big-time professional contract.

In the near future, West Ham could have a very bright striking future on their hands should they land Mlinde this summer or in subsequent transfer windows.
