Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has praised Naby Keita, who has been secured by the Reds for the 2018/19 season.
Keita impressed last season as he helped the then relatively unknown RB Leipzig finish in second position on the German Bundesliga standings and qualify for the Champions League.
He had been linked with a move to Liverpool all summer and though Jurgen Klopp’s side tried to sign him this summer, Leipzig were reluctant to part ways with their prized asset just as yet as they prepare to compete in the Champions League.
Henderson his looking forward to becoming team-mates with Keita and said of the incoming Guinea international, “If you play for top teams, you are going to sign good players. I have seen Naby play quite a few times and he looks a top, top player.
“There have been a lot of transfer rumours over the summer and thankfully we ended up doing the business.”
