Everton and Chelsea reportedly to face disappointment in striker’s chase

According to reports, Leicester City will block all moves for Jamie Vardy, amid interest from Everton and Chelsea.

Vardy played a big role in helping the Foxes shockingly win the Premier League title during the 2015/16 season and is attracting the interest from a host of clubs this summer.

The Toffees are in need of an experienced striker, having lost Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United and Vardy would certainly fit the bill.

However, with the Foxes now set to not listen to any offers for the England international, Everton will have to look elsewhere.

Chelsea are also in need of a new striker considering that Diego Costa is set to depart the club. Despite playing well last season, Costa was deemed surplus to requirements at the club following a fallout with manager Antonio Conte and Vardy has been seen as a replacement.

It looks like Vardy will now remain at the Foxes for at least another season. The 30-year-old seems to be loyal to his club and may be content with not being handed a move.
