According to reports, Leicester City have made an inquiry about signing Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho.
The French international Sakho is seemingly surplus to requirements at Anfield following a fallout with manager Jurgen Klopp.
He spent the second half of last season on loan with Crystal Palace and impressed, helping the club to avoid relegation in the process. Palace were looking to sign the 27-year-old on a permanent basis but were turned off by Liverpool’s £30 million asking price.
Leicester are nnow looking to add another centre back to their squad. They recently had a £23 million bid turned down by West Brom for Jonny Evans and are said to now be looking at other options.
It remains to be seen if Leicester will follow through with a bid for Sakho and it would be surprising if they do so, especially considering that Craig Shakespeare is not a fan of disruptive players.
