Everton and Chelsea reportedly battling to sign prolific striker

According to reports, Everton and Chelsea are set to battle in the race to sign Swansea striker Fernando Llorente.

Toffees manager Ronald Koeman has admitted that his club are searching for a new striker before the end of the current transfer window.

Though the Merseyside club have Sandro to choose from at the moment, he is inexperienced and remains untested at Premier League level.

Llorente could be a good signing for Ronald Koeman’s club considering that he has plenty of experience at the highest level and is still able to score goals on a regular basis.

On the other hand, a move to Chelsea could also be appealing to the veteran considering that Antonio Conte is a big fan of him and also because it could allow him to play in the Champions League.

Swansea will be reluctant to part ways with one of their best players from last season, however they may find it hard to resist a decent offer.
