According to reports, Ross Barkley is expected to leave Everton this week following talks with Tottenham and Chelsea.
The 23-year-old Barkley will likely be sold as he has just one year remaining on his current contract at Goodison Park and turned down the opportunity to sign a new contract with the club.
He is however likely to be out of action until December through a hamstring injury and this would certainly decrease his value.
Throughout the summer Spurs have been the club who have been listed as favorites to eventually capture the signature of the 23-year-old Barkley.
They are probably trying to bargain with the Toffees especially considering that Daniel Levy has a reputation of being one of the toughest negotiators in world football.
It would however not be surprising if Chelsea do end up hijacking the deal, especially considering that they have greater financial muscle.
