According to reports, Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho believes that the move of Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona for €105 million could hamper his chances of joining the Catalan giants.
Coutinho has been strongly linked with a move to the Spanish club during recent week, who reportedly believe that he could be a good addition to their side following the departure of Neymar to PSG.
Coutinho wants to move to Barca and has already handed in a transfer request to the Reds but Jurgen Klopp’s side are reluctant to sell and have already rejected three bids from Barca.
The Brazilian Coutinho is now worried that the deal he wants may not go through now that his Dembele has arrived at the Camp Nou.
Prominent reporter Kaveh Solhekol said about the situation, “Where does that leave Philippe Coutinho? Our information is that nothing has changed as far as he’s concerned; he still wants to go to Barcelona.
“But he is worried the Dembele move could affect his own future. We are told that Coutinho’s mood at the moment is very, very low.
“Coutinho is out of Liverpool’s game with Arsenal on Sunday, but Jürgen Klopp says he could still join up with the Brazil squad next week.”
