Liverpool reportedly set to receive £30 million approach

According to reports, West Brom could be set to launch a £30 million bid for Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho.

The Frenchman Sakho fell out of favor with Jurgen Klopp at the Reds last season and appears to be surplus to requirements at the club.

He was shipped out on loan to Crystal Palace in January and went on to help the club avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Though the Eagles were keen to sign the 27-year-old on a permanent basis, this summer, the price tag inserted on his signature is said to have caused them to look elsewhere for defensive reinforcements.

The Baggies are said to be keen on signing Sakho as they view him as a replacement for Jonny Evans who is a target of Manchester City.

The Reds are hoping to land a big fee for Sakho as they part ways with him and it looks like they might now get their wish.
