Leeds United and Huddersfield, though playing in different divisions, are off to a good start this summer both on and off the field but the latest move from Huddersfield could be one that comes from way out of let field.
Manager David Wagner, reports the Daily Mail, apparently is keen on signing veteran goalkeeper Rob Green away from Leeds. Green, a former England no.1, is the back up at Leeds currently, and just suffered a large mistake during midweek.
Huddersfield already have a number one, a man that has kept two PL clean sheets already, in Jonas Lossl. However, it would appear he wants some extra cover and experience in the team.
It still, in truth, looks like a strange move. But it’s clear as day that Lossl was not supposed to be the #1. Danny Ward, of Liverpool, was meant to be, but he has stayed with the Reds for the time being.
Just how that has affected this situation is up in the air, but there is little to no doubt that this would be a bizarre signing at this point.
