West Ham reportedly make move for £13.6million Championship star

According to reports, West Ham have made a move for Sunderland star Didier Ndong.

The Hammers need to bolster their squad was highlighted by their opening two defeats in the Premiership as they lost 4-0 to Manchester United and 3-2 to Southampton.

Manager Slaven Bilic has been keen on adding a new midfielder and has been keen on Sporting Lisbon star William Carvalho.

However a deal to recruit the Portugal international is proving difficult to negotiate and the club may need to look at alternative options.

Ndong joined the Black Cats last summer and was the club’s record signing, arriving from French club Lorient for £13.6 million.

The Gabon international showed some promising form during the first half of last season and this has led to interest following the Black Cats relegation from the Premier League last season

Ndong will certainly be hoping that a deal goes through so that he can return to the top flight.
