Leeds United complete another exciting signing

There has been no shortage of documentation about Leeds United’s busy transfer window this summer, but the volume of it has continued to expand. The club have announced today that they have signed Dutch forward Jay-Roy Grot.

At just 19 years of age, Grot checks all of the boxes. The youngster’s got a massive frame, he has plenty of potential and doesn’t cost a ton of money.

In addition, Grot is very versatile and is just as capable of playing down the middle as he is out wide, making him an interesting option for various tactical instructions.

Grot has played for the Dutch U-17 and U-19 teams already, and has been highly impressive in so doing. This signing shows the acumen of Christiansen to be very high at this sort of thing, and it shows that Leeds are truly building a future for the club.

Whether Grot can be a direct replacement for Wood straight away is a big ask, but if he can help out some while learning on the training pitch, it will be a brilliant move that makes the club a ton of money.
