Sunderland boss Simon Grayson has revealed that his club’s lack of signings this month will not bother him.
Though several new signings have arrived at the Black Cats this summer following the clubs relegation from the Premier League, they have not made a squad addition since signing RobbinRuiter three weeks ago.
The club’s attempts to sign Bournemouth attacker Max Gradel ended up in failure as the Ivorian instead opted to join French club Toulouse on loan.
Many will feel that the current Black Cats roster is not good enough to do well in the Championship this term and making squad additions to the side could be vital in terms of helping the team achieve positive results this season.
However, Grayson indicated that he is not bothered by his team’s lack of transfer activity this month and said, “We’ve still got ten days to go. Nothing has moved on either positively or negatively, negotiations go on a daily basis.
“I’m not going to rush into a decision to bring in a player just for the sake of it, we’ll do it when it is the right player at the right time.”
