In what will be good news for Everton fans, Kieran Dowell is proving to be impressive a few games into his loan spell with Nottingham Forest.
The 19-year-old Dowell proved during pre-season that he has an eye for goal by netting from 25 yards out against Gor Mahia in July and following that up with another strike against Dutch club FC Twente.
The Toffees sent the youngster on loan with Forest this season in order to garner more experience. He has done impressively so far, making five appearances for Forest , four of which came in the League and scoring against Brenford during a 4-3 victory.
Despite lacking in professional experience, Dowell looks confident on the pitch and has been one of Forests best signings of this summer.
Whilst talking about playing first team football, he said, “I have not been too fazed by it; by coming straight into the first team squad here. But that is down to the lads. They have been great; they have given me great advice.
“The more experienced players just told me to relax and play my own game and I have tried to do that. The players behind me give me the freedom to roam around in front of them. They are always looking to give me the ball whenever they can do.”
