According to TMW, Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic could finally be leaving Glasgow this summer, as Burnley are keen on the 23-year-old as they seek to replace the departed Michael Keane.
Simunovic was said to be close to joining Torino last summer, and despite having 3 years left on his contract, an exit could be on the cards after just 2 seasons since he arrived from Dinamo Zagreb.
While TMW claims the Croatian might be available for £5million, the Scottish Sun says Burnley are prepared to bid £10million.
Simunovic has become integral to manager Brendan Rodgers’ defensive plans since arriving, and has made 38 Scottish Premiership appearances till date.
With Celtic now without the injured Dedryck Boyata and Erik Sviatchenko, the Croatian is even set to become more important than ever.
However, while Champions League football is available at Celtic Park, the Turf Moor offers Premier League football, and it could be hard to hold on to him.
Losing Simunovic would be hard on the Bhoys, and the final decision to leave or stay lies on the player himself.
