Arsenal legend Henry explains why Tottenham’s £42million signing does not excite him

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has revealed that Tottenham signing Davinson Sanchez does not excite him.

The Colombian international Sanchez has become the North London clubs first signing of this summer and is highly rated having played a key role in helping Ajax reach the final of the Europa League last season.

Henry however believes that Mauricio Pochettino’s club should turn their focus onto signing attackers rather than defenders if they wish to progress.

He said, “Signing Davinson Sanchez from Ajax is a start, but only a start. He’s a defender and Spurs have the best defence anyway. There are other areas that need improving. They are dancing with the big boys now. And if you want to be a big club, you have to act like a big club.”

Spurs will need to win trophies soon or they will risk losing their star players.

Danny Rose recently indicated that he feels that players from his team earn to less and the England international also went on to add that he would be open to leaving the club if he received an offer from a club that is able to win trophies regularly.

This is bound to also be the same way many other players from the North London club feel.
