Rangers defender hails Bruno Alves

Rangers defender Lee Hodson believes that the addition of veteran Portuguese defender Bruno Alves has helped the Gers.

The 35-year-old Alves, who was part of the Portugal team that won Euro 2016, arrived at the Ibrox side this summer and has managed to establish a good defensive partnership with Fabio Cardoso.

Hodson has also played alongside Alves in defense this season and believes that it has been a good experience for him.

As Alves is very experienced, he can help to give advice to younger players within the squad and also act as a leader within Pedro Caixinha’s team.

Hodson said of his experiences thus far playing alongside Alves, “I can learn a lot. Bruno has played at the highest level in international football, won trophies, won the Euro’s.

“I always look up to older pros’, people that have played more games than me and defenders because I can always add things from my game that I need to improve on.”
