Newcastle United reportedly plotting swoop for 29-year-old attacker

According to reports, Newcastle are among the teams that are interested in buying Robert Snodgrass from West Ham.

The 29-year-old Snodgrass only arrived at the East London club in January and has struggled to find form, having failed to score from 15 appearances for the club.

The Scotland international was left out of the Hammers match day squad that lost to Manchester United last weekend and the arrivals of Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic will only see him slip further down the pecking order at the club.

For the Magpies, Snodgrass could be a good signing. He has plenty of Premier League experience under his belt and also has the ability to shine at the highest level, as he showed during his time with Hull City during the first half of last season.

Snodgrass could provide a decent option to manager Rafa Benitez in his toothless looking attack for this season.
