Leeds and Newcastle reportedly in 5-way battle for out-of-favour 29-year-old attacker

According to The Scottish Daily Record, West Ham have told attacking midfielder Robert Snodgrass that he’s surplus to requirements, and they would listen to offers in order to get him off their books.

Having shone for Hull City during the first half of last season, Snodgrass, 29, was brought to London for £10million in January.

Hammers manager Slaven Bilic had hoped he had found the perfect man to replace the departed Dimitri Payet.

15 Premier League games and 2 assists later, the Scotland international hugely underwhelmed at the very least.

Leeds United, though, are hopeful their former star can help return them to the Premier League like he did the Tigers.  Fellow Championship sides Sunderland and Aston Villa are also keen on Snodgrass.

Newcastle and Brighton have other ideas, however, as they see the set-piece expert as the man to keep them in the topflight.

The Scottish winger is definitely capable of doing all of the above, and it’s why the 5 suitors are going to put out all the stops to get their man. Snodgrass scored 7 goals in 20 EPL matches for Hull, and he remains a source of goals despite his nightmare of a campaign with West Ham.

Whichever side that eventually secure his signature can be rest assured of getting an experienced top player with almost 100 EPL games under his belt, a creator of chances via his crosses and direct freekicks, and a reliable option on the flanks on their hands.
