Celtic reportedly on the verge of completing major signing

According to reports, Celtic are set to re-sign Patrick Roberts on a season long loan deal from Manchester City.

The 20-year-old Roberts endured a successful 18 months with the Hoops before returning to City at the end of last season.

He played a big role in helping the Scottish giants win an unbeaten domestic treble and also won over the hearts of many fans after he rejected the chance to play for the England Under -0 team in order to carry on focusing on his duties with Celtic.

Roberts joined the Citizens from Fulham in 2015 for a fee in the region of £12 million and as he looks unlikely to form part of Pep Guardiola’s plans for this season, it is likely that the Citizens will sanction another loan deal.

For Celtic this will be a big coup and Brendan Rodgers team will hope that the youngster can help them to replicate their successes of last season.
