Newcastle’s new signing Joselu is confident that he can reignite his career with the Magpies.
The 27-year-old Joselu moved to the Tynesdide club on Wednesday from Stoke City for a fee in the region of £5 million. He will now be expected to bring goals for the club and provide competition and support for Dwight Gayle.
The German born Spanish international did not enjoy the best of spells with the Potters, having scored just four goals for the club from 27 matches in all competitions and spent last season on loan with Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna.
However, he is hoping that the guidance of Rafa Benitez will help him blossom and said, “I am here because I want to play in the Premier League. For me, it’s the best league in the world. I want to play, enjoy and score a lot of goals at St James’ Park in a Newcastle shirt.
“For me, it’s a pleasure to be again in the Premier League. Newcastle is a big club and it’s an honour for me to play at this club in this amazing city.”
