It has emerged that West Ham flop Sofiane Feghouli was punished by the East London club after he missed a club organized young supporters’ party.
The Algerian international Feghouli left the Hammers this week and has linked up with Turkish club Galatasary.
The 27-year-old angered he club after he missed an event in which many Young Hammers were hoping to meet their heroes.
The incident is said to have taken place towards the end of last season and Feghouli claimed that he had been too sick to attend.
The Hammers did not take kindly to his claim and hit the player with disciplinary action following an investigation and may have contributed to his exit this summer.
Feghouli arrived at the London Stadium last summer from Spanish club Valencia. His season in England was however less than successful as he did not make an impact on the pitch as he went on to score three goals from 21 Premier League appearances.
