According to reports, Newcastle United are interested in signing Bristol City defender Joe Bryan, who is also a target of Leeds United.
A move to the Magpies could be too good to resist for the 23-year-old Bryan as it will offer him the opportunity to play in the Premier League.
Rafa Benitez’s side are especially in need of more cover in defence following Paul Dummett’s injury which was sustained during the weekend against Tottenham.
Bryan has a good ability to go forward though doubts remain over his ability to defend well. If the defender ends up stepping up to the Premier League, then he will have to work hard to ensure that these flaws are ironed out.
Bryan could be a good investment for the Magpies considering that he is young and will get better. He also has plenty of experience in the Championship under his belt and now could be a good time to step up to the Premier League.
