Liverpool star could be gone this week as suitors reportedly plan unveiling on Thursday

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona want to present wantaway Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho on Thursday as their 4th signing of the summer.

Having already landed Nelson Semedo and Gerard Deulofeu, the Catalans completed a £36.3million deal for Paulinho on Monday.

The Camp Nou outfit are hopeful of landing the Brazilian soon enough for a double presentation alongside his fellow compatriot, and the writing appears to be on the wall.

Coutinho isn’t part of the squad to face Hoffenheim in the Champions League playoff on Tuesday night in Germany.

While the midfielder is still not fit having missed weekend’s EPL opener against Watford, his omission from the trip to Germany also has everything to do with the transfer request he submitted last Friday.

Manager Jurgen Klopp appears to have given up on convincing the wantaway star, and has claimed he has to accept it when the club’s management decide to sell a player.

Liverpool have already knocked back £72million and £90million bids for Coutinho from Barcelona, and the Catalans are reportedly ready to table a third and last bid that could break the £100million mark.

From all indications, Liverpool will likely see Coutinho leave Anfield this summer, and it would come as a surprise if they actually decide to hold on to him against his wishes.

The club have roughly 3 weeks to find his replacement, and reports claim they already have a contingency plan laid down.
