Reliable journalist Ed Aarons has claimed that Liverpool have entered the race to sign Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri.
The Ivory Coast international Seri was impressive last season, playing a key role in helping Nice surprise many by finishing in third place on the Ligue 1 standings and claiming a place in the Uefa Champions League.
During the course of last season, the 26-year-old managed to score several goals and supply nine assists from 39 matches in all competitions.
He continued his good form this season by helping his club complete a win in the qualification stages of the Champions League, supplying an assist in each leg.
Liverpool will need to add quality to their side especially if they end up losing Philippe Coutinho, who has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona. Seri will be an exciting prospect for the club and could be a good addition if Coutinho leaves.
