Hoffenheim scout Lutz Pfannenstiel has said that Roberto Firmino will continue to get better at the Reds.
The Brazilian Firmino joined the Merseyside club from Hoffenheim in a £29 million deal and has gone on to establish himself as one of the key men in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
He also was arguably Liverpool’s best player this weekend after scoring a goal and contributing another during the team’s 3-3 draw against Watford this weekend. Firmino may also required to especially deliver this season given that Philippe Coutinho looks set to join Barcelona.
Firmino will get to play against his former club in Germany on Tuesday in a Champions League encounter and ahead of the game, Pfannenstiel claims that the player will continue to get better.
He said, “Roberto is a typical example for our philosophy. We found him in Brazil as a youngster when not many people knew about him
“Firmino put a lot of extra work in, the coaches developed him into a top player and it was normal for us that he moved to a huge club like Liverpool.
“Firmino is not a typical Brazilian player: he took on a lot of the German mentality and I believe that his way of playing football fits perfectly with Jurgen Klopp’s style.”
