Liverpool star urges improvement ahead of Hoffenheim clash

Liverpool star Sadio Mane has called on his club to respond positively following their disappointing 3-3 draw against Watford on Saturday.

The Reds looked set to claim all three points against Watford at the Vicarage Road before a goal in stoppage time from Miguel Britos resulted in the match ending in a draw.

Following the game, Mane felt that his side deserved the three points form the match but did admit that he feels that they need to improve ahead of the Champions League clash against Hoffenheim this Tuesday.

He said, “We’re disappointed because we deserved to win. We should have defended better in this kind of game, it’s always complicated with long balls. It’s the first game of the season and we’re going to try to work hard for the next games.

“No excuses — everybody is fit. We’re unlucky we didn’t get three points because we were looking for that, but the next game we’re going to be ready to get three points to make our fans happy.”

The goals for the Reds came from Mane, a successful penalty conversion from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
