Everton anxiously made to wait over top target – Report

Everton target Nikola Kalinic has reportedly put the Toffees on standby.

Ronald Koeman is determined to bring in a new striker to his club this summer and has been linked with the likes of Olivier Giroud and Christian Benteke.

It now appears that Giroud has opted to stay and fight for his players at the Gunners while Benteke has extended his current deal with Palace.

The Toffees managed to lure Sandro Ramirez this summer form Malaga, though he is still young and is not a proven scorer in the English top flight. It will therefore be good if Everton did manage to sign a new striker with Premier League experience.

The Croatian Kalinic, who had a stint with Blackburn Rovers earlier in his career, is said to prefer a move to AC Milan. Fiorentina are said to be willing to sell Kalinic if they receive an offer of around £20 million.
