Liverpool reportedly eye Serie A star as replacement for Coutinho

According to reports, Liverpool are eyeing Napoli ace Lorenzo Insigne as a possible replacement for Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazilian Coutinho has been strongly linked with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona and has been viewed as a replacement for Neymar, who joined PSG in a world record transfer.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is said to be a fan of Insigne, as the Italian scored 18 goals in the Serie A last season.

Though the Italian club have said that the 26-year-old is not for sale, Liverpool could table a big offer as they will get a lot of cash should Coutinho part ways with them.

The 25-year-old Coutinho does wish to join the Catalan giants and has handed in a transfer request to Liverpool. It remains to be seen what will happen in regards to the Brazilian.

With Insigne’s contract running till 2022, Liverpool will have to table a big offer and the player will be a good signing for them.
