Leeds United reportedly plotting move for striker as a potential replacement for Wood

According to reports, Leeds United are eyeing Hamburg SV striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga as a possible replacement for Chris Wood.

After finishing as the Championship top scorer last season, the 25-year-old Wood has been linked with Premier League clubs including Burnley, West Brom and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Burnley see the New Zealand international as a replacement for Andre Gray, who joined Watford recently, and have already seen a bid rejected.

The Whites are reportedly demanding £15 million for the signature of Wood and should a sale go ahead, the money that they gain will be used to purchase Lasogga.

Wood will feel that now is the right time for him to step up to the Premier League so it is likely that he will be keen on a move.  Burnley are likely to come back with another offer and there is a good chance that a transfer will end up taking place.
